Narendra Modi to address six public meetings in Odisha

Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will visit the State on April 5. Modi, according to a party release, would address seven public meetings in the state on Sunday.

He would launch his campaign at Nuapada and then move to Balangir, Nuapada, Puri,Kuchinda and Bhubaneswar,"said a state BJP release. All eyes could be fixed on him when he visits communal riot-hit Raikia area of Kandhamal district.

Later in the day he would be addressing conventions at Puri and Bhubaneswar. He is, however, not scheduled to tour Ganjam, from where a large number of people regularly migrate to Gujarat in search of a livelihood. "Modi's visit is expected to boost our party fortunes as he is our trump card. We are confident he will do the difference in Kandhamal," a senior BJP leader observed.

Earlier, prime ministerial candidate LK Advani, BJP chief Rajnath Singh and Sushma Swaraj have already campaigned in the first phase for the party.
