Bollywood Star Chandrachur Singh to debut in Ollywood
Bollywood actor Chandrachur Singh is all set to make his debut in Ollywood as a leading actor.
Chandrachur who had shot to fame with critically acclaimed Hindi film Maachis is going to debut in Oriya film with “Jahaku mu ate bholo paiuchi”.
The duo-eyed here of Maachis has reached Bhubaneswar on Tuesday for the shooting of the film.
Speaking to the media persons here he said “I have a link with Orissa and it will be nice experience with work in Orissa.” It may be noted here that his father is an ex-MLA from Aligarh and his mother is the daughter of the Maharaja of Bolangir in Orissa.
Singh made his acting debut as the lead actor in Tere Mere Sapne (1996) which was produced by Amitabh Bachchan's production company A.B.C.L. He then won the Filmfare Best Debut Award for his performance in the critically acclaimed Maachis which released later that year.
He appeared in several other films and had success with his supporting roles in the hit films Daag: The Fire (1999), Josh (2000), Kya Kehna( 2000), Bharat Bhagya Vidhata (2002) and Maurti Meri Dost (2009).
