Prince Dance Group made Naveen Pattnaik to set up an Institute for Artistes
The Prince Dance group from Berhampur, comprising 24 artistes, including two handicapped has been nominated out of the 45,000 competitors to enter into the finale of “India’s Got Talent”.
With the excellent performance Prince Dance Group at “India’s Got Talent”, hosted by Colours TV, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced to set up an institute to sharpen the skill of young artistes in the state.
The Chief Minister directed the state culture department to initiate steps at the earliest to set up the institute. The state government will provide four acres of land near Berhampur and a sum of Rs 1 crore for the setting up of the institute.
Mr Patnaik also conceded to the request of an artiste to SMS his vote to Prince Dance group, which has entered the finale in a reality show titled ''India's got talent'' telecast on Colors channel. He rang up dance group leader Krishna Reddy yesterday and congratulated him for the group's ''awe-inspiring'' performance. He also wished them success in the finale.
During the conversation, Krishna Reddy had requested the Chief Minister to bless and vote for the group. The Chief Minister replied, ''I have seen the performance of your group and it has given me extreme pleasure.''
There was high emotion on the stage, when the group danced to the tune "Sare Jahan Se Achha" during the semifinals. The judges were left speechless and the crowd was on its feet to hail the dancers. "This is definitely a world-beating act", said Shekhar Kapoor.
The grand finale of "India's Got Talent" will be held on August 22. The final will be telecasted live on Colours TV from 9 PM onwards. All eyes will be on the grand finale to see the Prince Group performance.
